Our wellness  program in Fort Worth starts with our Get On B.A.S.E.! mantra, which stands for Breathe!, Act!, Smile! and Eat! The acronym starts with “Breathe!” because too many diseases are caused by stress. When we reduce our stress, one breath at a time, we increase our good health!

Act! stands for activity or getting active. Exercise reduces our risks for every chronic illness.  Our immune system gets stoked and our stress decreases. The side benefit is exercise also helps us to lose weight!  Walking and working out at the gym both burn extra calories. Walking at a moderate pace burns between three and five calories per minute, and exercising at the gym can burn between three and 10 calories a minute, depending on your level of intensity.
